Best 5 Android Apps For Your Phone & Tablet In 2017

TouchRetouch (£1.99)

This powerful but simple to use photo editor is a must for almost any photographer. It allows you to quickly remove unwanted objects from a photograph. For example, say you don’t want those telephone wires crossing in front of your shot of the sky. Simply drag your finger over the telephone wires on the picture and TouchRetouch for iPad will automatically remove them.

Caffè Nero (free)

Caffè Nero FINALLY has a smartphone app – and it puts every other cafe and coffee house’s apps to shame. The Caffè Nero app is so good because it mimics collecting stamps for each drink perfectly from its physical stamp card counterpart. But the app goes much further, not only integrating the digital stamp card with your smartphone’s wallet app, it also allows you to collect stamps and pay for your entire purchase in just one scan. If you’ve been waiting for a Caffè Nero app for a long time, I can tell you the wait has been worth it.

Money Dashboard (free)

Money Dashboard is the UK budgeting app I’ve been waiting for for a while. In the US the king of the budgeting apps is Mint–but that isn’t available in the UK, and now it’s no longer needed. Money Dashboard has been around for a while and their app has always kind of sucked. But they just released a completely redesigned, overhauled version 6.0 and it is amazing. Track your spending across accounts, see your money spend organized on beautiful charts, and set budgets to keep you in control. Money Dashboard is the best budgeting app on the UK App Store.

HOOKED - Chat Stories (free)

Hooked bills itself as the reading app for the Snapchat generation. As someone who loves big physical books, I’m not sure I agree the Snapchat-ization of books is a good thing. That being said, the app is lots of fun. It serves you up short thriller stories via text messages. Some are downright addicting.

Uphill Rush Racing (free)

This game is a fun water park simulator that sees you racing along waterslides in the physics-based bundle of fun. As the app’s description says, “Survive as long as you can as you perform crazy stunts and blast through everything in your path! Whizz and bounce through rollercoaster-style corkscrews, loops and more! You’ll brave incredible water parks and dominate some seriously insane tracks in this physics-based game.”
